Siti Syarifah Beni, one of the outstanding students of SMPN 5 Gunung Talang, has officially been selected as a member of the Solok Regency Scout Contingent to participate in the 12th National Scout Jamboree (Jambore Nasional XII) 2026, which will be held at the Cibubur Scout Camp, Jakarta.
Her selection is the result of dedication, perseverance, and strong commitment in scouting activities. It also reflects the success of SMPN 5 Gunung Talang in fostering students with strong character, discipline, leadership skills, teamwork, and a spirit of service through continuous scouting education.
The 12th National Scout Jamboree 2026 carries the theme, "Creating, Innovating, Skilled, and Independent to Support Food Self-Sufficiency." Through this theme, the Indonesian Scout Movement aims to encourage young scouts to become creative, innovative, resilient, and independent individuals who are ready to contribute to national development while promoting environmental awareness and sustainable living.
Expressing her pride, Arninorawati, S.Pd, Principal of SMPN 5 Gunung Talang, congratulated Siti Sarifah Beni on her outstanding achievement.
"We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Siti Sarifah Beni for being entrusted to represent Solok Regency at the 12th National Scout Jamboree 2026. We hope she will participate enthusiastically in every activity, perform to the best of her ability, bring honor to our school and Solok Regency, and return with valuable experiences that can inspire and motivate her fellow students," Arninorawati said in a statement to the media on Wednesday (July 8, 2026).
She emphasized that the achievement is not only a personal success for Siti Sarifah Beni but also a source of pride for the entire school community. According to her, it demonstrates that consistent guidance, quality mentoring, and active participation in extracurricular programs can produce students capable of competing at the national level.
