Com, Koto Gaek Guguk, Solok REGENCY – An atmosphere of emotion, pride, and gratitude filled the 4th Haflah Hifdzil Qur’an Graduation Ceremony of SMPN 5 Gunung Talang, held on Saturday (May 30, 2026). A total of 25 students were officially graduated after successfully memorizing the Holy Qur’an in the categories of 1 juz, 2 juz, and 3 juz.
Carrying the theme “Creating a Generation of Qur’an Memorizers, Building a Civilization Based on the Qur’an,” the event became a special moment for the school, parents, and students who had devoted themselves to memorizing and preserving the words of Allah.
The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Solok Regency Youth and Sports Education Office, H. Elafki, S.Pd; the representative of the Head of the Solok Regency Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, PAIS Section Chief H. Chairunnas, S.Ag; the Chairman of the School Committee, Kasril; the Principal of SMPN 5 Gunung Talang, Arninorawati, S.Pd; teachers, education staff, and parents.
Principal Arninorawati expressed her gratitude for the success of the Tahfidz program, which continues to grow and produce young male and female Qur’an memorizers every year.
"We would like to thank the mentoring teachers, parents, the school committee, and everyone who has contributed to the success of this Tahfidz program. May our students continue to preserve their memorization and make the Qur’an their guide in life," she said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Solok Regency Youth and Sports Education Office, H. Elafki, highly appreciated the students for their dedication and perseverance in memorizing the Qur’an.
"Congratulations to all students graduating today. You are a chosen generation who excel not only in academics but also possess strong spiritual foundations. Continue to preserve and practice the teachings of the Qur’an in your daily lives," he stated.
Similarly, PAIS Section Chief of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Solok Regency, H. Chairunnas, encouraged schools to continue developing Tahfidz programs as part of efforts to build a religious and high-integrity younger generation.
"We hope SMPN 5 Gunung Talang will continue to be a pioneer in producing a Qur’anic generation. To all students, do not stop at the level of memorization you have achieved today. Keep reviewing and increasing your memorization so that the Qur’an remains alive in your hearts and actions," he advised.
The 4th Haflah Hifdzil Qur’an Graduation Ceremony stands as clear evidence of SMPN 5 Gunung Talang’s commitment to nurturing students who excel not only academically but also spiritually and morally. From this school emerges new hope for a Qur’anic generation ready to contribute to the nation's future, guided by the values and teachings of the Holy Qur’an.
